Minutes of Business Meetings

Minutes of Meeting held at Citrus Valley CG in Clermont, FL.
Officers Present:    David Johnson President
Pauline Poire-Pond    Vice President
George Pippin Secretary/Treasurer

Members Present: List available.
Meeting call to order by Pres. Johnson at 7:07 PM on Feb. 14, 2006.
The financial report was read and accepted.
The minutes of the last meeting was read and accepted.

Old Business:
    The financial records were reviewed by Larry Smith, Larry Gaffney and Arlene Gaffney on Oct. 4, 2005. Five recommendations were made at the previous audit that had been overlooked.
     1. Issue: An up to date E-mail address list be maintained so as to eliminate postage when ever possible. Resolution: Norm Milliard agreed to update the E-mail
     2. Issue: An inventory of club property be established and maintained. Resolution: An inventory will be done right away
     3. Issue: An individual be appointed to provide regular communication pertaining to news, club activities, changes in membership, etc. Resolution: Norm Milliard volunteered to do the newsletter.
     4. Issue: More frequent use of raffles at club events to help provide additional revenue. Resolution. Agreed to use raffles more often to raise money.
     5. Issue: Club officers review the membership dues to consider any changes that might be appropriate. Resolution: Voted not to raise dues at this time.

New Business
    There was a discussion about having a web page. Bob Burnham agreed to take on that responsibility.
    This year will be the election on President and Vice President. The nominating committee is George Pippin, Larry Smith and Jim Piehl. Elections will be held in September ’06.
     This year’s rallies were discussed by Pres. Johnson.
     Sept—The Pippins and Gaffneys are running it at Danforth Bay CG in Freedom, NH. It will be the 15th year anniversary of the Dam Yankees.
     It was voted to have ex Dam Yankees invited to the Sept. 15th Anniversary rally as well voted to have chapter pay for the cake and to order special shirts for the 15-year anniversary.
     Voted to have Rudy Roggenkamp and Dave Johnson go over new amendments to the constitution.
     Betty Roggenkamp explained the differences between BU and BOA.
     It was voted to not pay the volunteers of the BU.
     We have 44 Bounder units in our Dam Yankees chapter.
     Motion made to adjourn at 8:30 PM.
